Why is this study important?
Invasive management for primary spontaneous pneumothorax (PSP) has not been shown to be superior or even equal to conservative management. Most cases of PSP resolve spontaneously with reduced healthcare costs and patient discomfort. This trial assesses whether conservative treatment of moderate to large PSP is noninferior to interventional treatment.
